In the 2020 list of national labor models and advanced workers in Guangdong Province, Tang Qi, R&D director of Guangdong Tedi Ceramics Co., Ltd. and inventor of negative ion ceramic tiles, appeared on the national model worker list together with Academician Zhong Nanshan. Tang Qi has previously won a series of honorary titles such as "Guangdong Province May Day Labor Medal", "National May Day Labor Medal", and "Southern Guangdong Craftsman". The model workers awarded by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council are "National Model Workers", which is the highest honorary title for Chinese workers.
Tang Qi has been in the ceramic industry for 18 years since he joined Tetech in 2002. He has used modern scientific methods and overcome a number of technical problems through a large number of experiments. In 2003, Tang Qi collaborated with the team of Professor Zeng Hanmin, the former president of Sun Yat-sen University, to develop negative ion ceramic tiles. In 2004, he successfully developed the first negative ion ceramic tile in China. This product has ecological purification functions. This technology applied for a national invention patent in the same year. , at present, negative ion ceramic tiles have become the only functional ceramic products in China that have achieved large-scale industrialization.
Tang Qi likes to do interesting and meaningful things. He will also tell his students to do things they like and not do things they don’t like, otherwise it will be difficult to do well. What he said can be seen from the invention of negative ion ceramic tiles and the establishment of negative ion ceramic tile standards: if you want to do it, you must do it well. As the inventor and technical leader of negative ion tiles, Tang Qi led the formulation of industry standards and national standards for negative ion tiles to standardize the development of this category and industry. Tang Qi also pays attention to the protection of intellectual property rights and has applied for and obtained dozens of patents.
Over the years, Tang Qi, as the technical leader, has led the team to complete the National Torch Plan projects, major science and technology projects in Guangdong Province, and Guangdong Province.Hong Kong has carried out a number of important technological research tasks such as key breakthrough projects in key areas, and has pioneered a number of industry technological innovation achievements. Received 4 scientific and technological progress awards at the provincial level or above (top three), 17 scientific and technological progress awards at the municipal level or above, and successively won the "Foshan City's First Innovation Leading Talent", "Foshan City Sanshui District Work Model", "Foshan Ceramic Society Science and Technology "Advanced Worker", "Foshan Youth Advanced Individual for Contribution", "Outstanding Communist Party Member of Sanshui District, Foshan City", "Foshan Employee Science and Technology Innovation Model", "Guangdong Province May 1st Labor Medal", "National May 1st Labor Medal" , Foshan's "Dacheng Craftsman", "Southern Guangdong Craftsman" and other titles.
