1 Introduction to the production area
Longquan celadon has a firing history of more than 1,600 years from the time it reached its peak in the Southern Song Dynasty and Yuan Dynasty.
Longquan celadon encompasses the Guan and Ge kilns of the five famous kilns in the Song Dynasty.
Ge Kiln: one of the five famous kilns in the Song Dynasty;
It is said that in the Song Dynasty, two brothers, Zhang Shengyi and Zhang Sheng, fired celadon in the Longquan kiln area. The kiln owned by Zhang Shengyi was called "Ge Kiln". Ge Kiln celadon is famous for its black body opening, which is characterized by: black body, purple mouth and iron feet, glaze opening, and different glaze colors. With the continuous advancement of archaeological excavations, the understanding of Ge Kiln has gradually become clearer. Ge Kiln is the fifth black-bodied celadon produced in Longquan.
Di Yao:
It is said that in the Song Dynasty, two brothers, Zhang Shengyi and Zhang Sheng, fired celadon in the Longquan kiln area. The kiln owned by Zhang Sheng2 was called "Brother Kiln". The decoration of Di kiln celadon is mainly plain and thick glaze, with elegant shape. Fetal quality includes white fetus and cinnabar fetus. The glaze color is as warm as jade, pure and flawless, with pink green and plum green glazes as outstanding representatives, which embody traditional Chinese aesthetic taste and become a model of Chinese celadon.
In celadon art, the most important feature is the kiln system that pursues thick glaze decoration and delights in glaze color. Glaze color and glaze texture are the most critical factors for its artistic expression. The works fired in traditional dragon kilns vary from kiln to kiln due to different kiln positions. The differences in factors such as oral soil and glaze soil produce different hair colors, including plum green, pink blue, azure, crab green, bean green, shadow green, gray green, beige and other glaze colors. Among them, pink green, plum green and so on for the best.
The craftsmanship decoration incorporates techniques such as light and heavy jumping knives, multi-layer inlay, thin carving, exquisite carving, underglaze color, pictographic opening, civil and military opening, blue and white combination, brother kiln combination, etc., enriching modern Longquan celadon creative content.
In recent years, Longquan celadon has frequently appeared as national gifts at the G20, World Internet Conference, etc., and has become world-famous.
